Milan's Expo area: what's next?
Gathering people’s different points of view, both quantitative and qualitative, in a unique network visualization
Once the EXPO Milan finished, the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera commissioned Oxway to conduct a survey to identify citizen’s preferences regarding the EXPO area and how it should be used in the future.
With this goal in mind, we designed an interactive application, which allows the user to explore and analyze every single answer (all open answers) through organizing answers into topical clusters according to sociodemographic criteria.
Every circle stands for each one of the 977 proposals. Its place in the space relates to its affinity with one or more of the 5 macro-categories.
Results can be filtered through different parameters. The data’s complexity is then translated into a color scheme.
