La Lettura, the cultural insert of Italy’s most important newspaper, has been coming out every Sunday and sold in every Italian newsstand for ten years.
We at The Visual Agency join RCS and Corriere della Sera in celebrating this milestone!
Ten years of in-depth cultural analysis and quality information during which La Lettura has established itself as a reference point for the Italian public, especially thanks to its pioneering data journalism projects.
The Visual Agency has greatly supported the creation and development of Visual Data, the data-driven section of the insert. Since the beginning, Visual Data has strived to exploit the narrative potential of data to tell stories, provide insights and make information as objective as possible.
An awarded collaboration
It’s not easy to describe in a few lines a collaboration that’s been going on since 2013.
The most successful projects come to mind, such as the overview on culture in Italy, awarded at the EDAWARDS in 2015, or the visualization of the relationship between income and cost of real estate on a global scale, awarded at the Information is Beautiful Awards of the same year.
A long-lasting visualization
2015 was a prolific year for the collaboration between the agency and the Corriere insert. That year, also the visualization on the Milan Linate Airport was published. A visualization that’s been recently revisited in an interactive key for the project on Dubai airports.
Our collaboration with laLettura continues to this day — as testified by the visualization designed to describe the amazing codex-atlanticus.it project, or the very recent article ranking artists by their auction revenues — and we hope it will continue for a long time to come!
